Woodstock Gardens

Woodstock Gardens - 2009-03-24

I paid a visit to Woodstock Estate in Inistioge Co Kilkenny recently, it used to be a large manner with a grand old house until the house was burned down by the Black & Tans. Its an awful shame the house no longer remains but the majority of the Victorian period gardens still do including a Monkey Puzzle Avenue and Noble Fir Avenue which are about a quarter mile long each (worth seeing)

The shot here is of part of the rose garden which should look fantastic when the roses come out.

I'd recommend anyone that happens to be around the area to visit the place, more info available from - http://www.woodstock.ie/

    Anyway, great shot and great place. Love the DOF. I was here not so long ago and there's so much potential with a camera. Will definitely plan on going back here in the summer.
