Kells, Co Kilkenny
I recently paid a visit to Kells, Co Kilkenny, its a lovely village about 15miles south of Kilkenny City; Kells used to be the site of a very large walled priory and much of it still exists including the wall and seven of the towers.
In addition the Kings river (which is in my photo) flows through the village. The Kings river is reportedly named after Niall Caille High King of Ireland who drowned in it while attempting to cross it while it was in flood in 846AD
