The Mighty Crane

The Mighty Crane - 2009-03-10

Until last year I used to live in Waterford for seven years, during my time in Waterford I passed the old crane on the quays almost every day as part of my cycling routine and I always found it sad that the county council just left it rust away despite it being a pretty noticeable landmark through the city.

I was happy to see that towards the end of 2008 the council finally took it upon themselves to clear it up, rust proof it and repaint not only the crane but its reinforced concrete supports. Now you can finally see the crane in all its glory, it looks like new!
