I've been living in Kilkenny all my life and I've probably walked through the butterslip lane thousands of times but in all the time I've had a camera I've actually never stopped to take a photo of it

It's strange when you think about it as so many tourists visit Kilkenny each year and its always one of the many shots they take and bring home with them as part of their visit to Kilkenny City yet local people never really pay attention to it, its so popular in fact that even while I was taking this shot while it was raining two people stopped behind me and snapped the laneway.
